Welcome to my new and improved journal. I haven’t posted for several days because I’ve been in the process of migrating to a new blogging service. I’ve finally ditched Blogger and thanks to my friend catsudon I am now using Word Press. It’s a php script powered program that I installed right on my webserver. So no more having to log onto Blogger to write posts. Now I just log onto my own site.

In the process of installing this new blogging tool, I redesigned the look of the site to include the archive and links on the main page once again. I never did like having them on a separate page. In addition, the new tool implements a nice little calendar which displays the days I blogged as links. And there is also a nifty little search box that can search all posts which are in a MySQL database and quickly(depending on your Internet connection) spit back the results. It’s a very cool feature. The new tool also has a built in commenting feature, so I no longer have to rely on Haloscan. Haloscan provides a great service, but I didn’t like the fact that when new comments are made, older ones are deleted. I won’t have that problem anymore. Too bad I lost all the old comments though.

Anyways, hope you like the new look. This is going to be the last time I EVER change the look of the site again. Haha. As catsudon could tell you, it’s a royal pain in the ass to implement your own design into this new tool. But it’s a very rewarding as well. In the past few days, I think I’ve grown some grey hairs and raised my blood pressure.
