Okay, so this weekend, I decided to take my dog Luc to the groomer as his hair is getting pretty long. So I wake up early on Saturday morning, throw Luc’s harness and leash on, and drive him over to the groomer.
When I get there, this lady takes down my information and asks me how I want his hair cut. I told her the same way as last time, which is short, but not too short. When she took Luc from me, she told me I put his harness on wrong. I guess in my haste to get Luc to the groomer, I forgot to put his leg through one of the loops. Anyways, she goes, “You didn’t put this on right.” And she proceeds to show me how to put it on. Well I responded by saying, “I know how to put his harness on…I put it on him all the time.” She glanced back at me and said, “Okay! I just want to make sure you don’t take him out for a walk and he gets loose and hit by a car.” Whatever. I was tempted to tell her, “Thank you for saving my dog’s life”, but instead I gave her a semi sarcastic, “Thank you so much.”
About an hour or two later, I get a call from the groomer saying that his ears were too matted, and that they would need to cut the hair around his ears short. I told them that was fine…cuz I know his ears were pretty badly matted.
Then at around 2pm they call to tell me he is ready. I drove down there in excited anticipation, as I usually do whenever I pick him up from the groomer. Well the excitement turned to shock when I saw him. They cut the hair on and around his face so friggin’ short. And his ears…good lord. When they said short, they weren’t kidding. Anyways he looks like a god damn cat now! Those sons of bitches. Makes me wonder if this has anything to do with my sarcastic attitude towards the chick that works there. Anyways it’s rather funny looking. It’s still cute in a scary sort of way. For the rest of the weekend, Jane and I teased him by calling him a cat and making meowing noises at him.
haha.
