well, two days ago Jane and I celebrated our first anniversary. Not only was it our first anniversary, but it was also Mother’s Day. With Jane being a mother-to-be, it was sorta nice to be celebrating that as well.

We went to grab some dimsum down in Orange County. The place was completely packed. They were telling people at the door that the wait was at least an hour. We lucked out. Since we were pretty much the only party of two, we were seated within 5 minutes.

After lunch we went to hang out at my parents place. After about an hour of being at my parents place, Jane had her first real craving. She wanted noodles. I thought great…my mom has plenty of instant noodles. But no…it had to be pan fried crispy noodles. I was like, “how about chowmein at the Chinese restaurant down the street?” Nope…had to be pan fried crispy noodles. I’m thinking…where am I going to find pan fried crispy noodles around Tustin, when it hit me…when I was in college I used to work at Chinet, this Chinese restaurant in Irvine. They have pan fried crispy noodles there. So we drive 15 minutes to the restaurant and ordered the noodles to go. We asked for the toppings to be separate from the noodles so that the noodles wouldn’t get soggy. Didn’t matter. By the time we get back to my parents place, the noodles are no longer crispy. So we have pan fried soft noodles. :D haha.

We hung out with my parents for a few hours, watched the Laker game(great game btw), then we came back to Rancho and went out to dinner for our anniversary. Jane wanted to go to Claim Jumper, but turned out there was an hour plus wait…and it was already 8pm. Jane didn’t want to wait so we went to Chilis instead. About a 2 minute wait. Over dinner we discussed how much things have changed since we’ve been married. Quite a bit when we though about it.

Since we’ve been married, I got a new job, we traveled to Thailand, I got to meet my new in-laws, my brother Paul got married, we paid off all our debts, I started taking classes, I’ve discovered my passion for photography, we got a dog, and we’ve found out we’re going to be parents. It’s been a great year. I look forward now to our second year of marriage. :)
