Three old men, Joe, William, and Bob are living together, as
neither could take care of themselves.
They are sitting around the living room, when Joe announces,
"I am going to go take a bath." He proceeds up the stairs and
while getting into the tub, he pauses. "Now, was I getting into
the tub or out of it? I just can't remember." He debates it for
awhile and cannot remember what he was doing...
William declares that he is worried about Joe, so he starts up the
stairs. About half way up the stairs, he pauses. "Was I going up
the stairs or down them.... hmmmm... I just can't remember..."
Bob, now alone in the living room quips to himself, "Boy, I am glad
I am not as bad off as those two... knock on wood.....*knock, knock*...
...Now was that the front door, or the back door?"
